The Number of Tourists Visiting Armenia Decreased by 6.9%
The number of tourists decreased by 6.9% in the period from January to September, as announced by Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan during the preliminary discussion of the 2025 budget.
The decline in tourism is mainly due to a decrease in tourists from Russia, which dropped by 21.6% compared to the previous year. However, the number of tourists from other countries increased by 8.4%, primarily driven by visitors from Georgia, Iran, and China.
From January to September, 1,903,313 tourists visited Armenia.
