Production of Falsified Dairy Products Discovered in Arteni Halted; Counterfeit Goods Found
Dairy production involved in the release of falsified products has been suspended in the village of Arteni, Aragatsotn Province. The information is reported by the Food Safety Inspectorate Body (FSIB).
According to the Inspectorate’s statement, by the decision of the FSIB head, the operation of the workshop belonging to individual entrepreneur Harutyun Sargsyan has been ceased because it was producing a milk-containing product using a milk fat substitute under the guise of cheese technology.
The basis for the production suspension was the result of laboratory examinations of samples taken by inspectors: falsified food products were discovered. In the sample, the indicator for “mass fraction of milk fat” did not comply with the requirements of the Customs Union’s technical regulation “On the safety of milk and dairy products.”
The FSIB has given the producer a deadline to eliminate the violations.
