Drug trafficking case uncovered
On February 17, patrol officers in the Shirak Province uncovered a case of drug possession and trafficking in the village of Jajur.
According to the police, a 33-year-old resident of Geghashen village in the Kotayk Province and a 27-year-old resident of Abovyan were arrested while traveling in a “Lada” make vehicle.
The detainees and the vehicle were taken to the Akhuryan Community Police Department, and the vehicle was moved to a special protected area.
During a search conducted on February 18, 71 packages containing a substance resembling marijuana, with a total weight of 157.37 grams, were found in the “Lada” car.
The 33-year-old and 27-year-old individuals were presented to the preliminary investigation body along with the relevant documents; the investigation is ongoing.
