Renovation works have begun at the Armenian Genocide Memorial

Starting today, renovation works at the Armenian Genocide Memorial have commenced, funded by the state budget of the Republic of Armenia. This was reported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports.

The renovation will be carried out in two main phases. The first phase includes improving the irrigation system of the green areas surrounding the memorial. These works are expected to be completed before the start of the events marking the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

The second phase will focus on the renovation of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, including the administrative building, with the works scheduled to begin in mid-2025.

According to the report, the state will allocate around 743 million AMD for the implementation of the renovations.

The ministry also noted that both the museum and the memorial will remain open to visitors and official delegations during the renovation process.
