A resolution condemning the ethnic cleansing of Armenians in Artsakh has been introduced in the Senate

A resolution condemning the ethnic cleansing in Artsakh and calling for the realization of the right of return has been introduced in the U.S. Senate.

European Armenian Federation for Justice and Democracy (EAFJD) reports that U.S. Senators Gary Peters and Bill Cassidy have introduced a bipartisan comprehensive resolution in the Senate.

The resolution calls for the imposition of appropriate sanctions against Aliyev’s genocidal regime, the immediate release of Armenians unlawfully held in captivity. It also urges the U.S. government to cease military assistance to Azerbaijan and support the secure realization of the right of return for the Armenians of Artsakh.
