Personnel changes in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Police
A series of personnel changes have taken place within the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and the Police system.
By the orders of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Police Colonel Vardan Vardanyan has been dismissed from his position as Head of the General Department of Criminal Police of the RA MIA Police and Deputy Head of the Police. Police Colonel Artur Barseghyan has been appointed to the same position.
Changes have also occurred in the sphere of community policing. Police Colonel Karen Hakobyan has been dismissed from the position of Head of the General Department of Community Police of the RA MIA Police and Deputy Head of the Police. In his stead, Police Colonel Karen Khachatryan has been appointed as the Acting Head of the General Department of Community Police.
Personnel changes were also made in the Patrol Service. Police Colonel Artur Khudinyan has been dismissed from his position as Head of the Patrol Service of the RA MIA Police and Deputy Head of the Police. Police Lieutenant Colonel Gevorg Zakaryan has been appointed to the same position.
By other orders of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Vardan Vardanyan and Karen Hakobyan have been appointed as Advisors to the RA Minister of Internal Affairs, while Artur Khudinyan has been appointed as Assistant to the Minister.
