Lawsuit for forfeiture of Levon Mkrtchyan’s assets submitted to court

The Anti-Corruption Court has admitted for proceedings another lawsuit filed by the General Prosecutor’s Office of Armenia regarding the forfeiture of assets of illicit origin.

The Department for Forfeiture of Illicit Assets of the Prosecutor’s Office is requesting the court to confiscate from Levon Mkrtchyan and his affiliated persons, in favor of the Republic of Armenia, 26 real estate properties, 7 vehicles, shares in 5 legal entities, 893,449,000 AMD as a balance of illicit funds, and 276,106,000 AMD, which is not justified by the person’s legal income, is of illicit origin, has been transferred to a bona fide purchaser, or cannot be identified and confiscated.

According to the submitted claim, the total value of the assets and funds involved exceeds 1 billion AMD.
