Manvel Grigoryan’s daughter has been charged
Naira Grigoryan, the daughter of former Member of the National Assembly (NA) of the Republic of Armenia (RA) Manvel Grigoryan and a judge of the Court of General Jurisdiction of First Instance of Armavir Province, has been charged under two articles. This was reported by the Anti-Corruption Committee of the RA.
A combined measure of restraint, consisting of a ban on leaving the country and bail, has been selected against her.
It is noted that within the framework of the criminal proceeding, the representative of the judicial authority has been charged under Article 441, Part 2, Point 5, and Article 482, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code (CC). The articles relate to the abuse of official or service powers or the influence resulting from them, or the exceeding of powers, and the delivery of a manifestly unjust verdict, decision, or other judicial act by an official.
It should be noted that about a year ago, news spread in the press that Naira Grigoryan’s assistant had been arrested on charges of committing fraud on a particularly large scale. In early November 2024, information emerged that the judge would be summoned for questioning in connection with her assistant’s case.
On November 7, 2025, it became known that Naira Grigoryan’s powers had been suspended while the ongoing investigation continued.
