Journalist Arrested on Suspicion of “Obstructing Justice”
Davit Fidanyan, a journalist for the “Antifake” website, has been arrested. The information was reported by lawyer Ruben Melikyan, who wrote on his Facebook page that Fidanyan is being charged with the “peculiar suspicion of ‘obstructing justice’.”
It should be recalled that masked law enforcement officers conducted searches this morning at the homes of “Imnemnimi” show authors Narek Samsonyan and Vazgen Saghatelyan, subsequently arresting them. Following this, a search was also carried out at the “Antifake” website office, where all equipment was confiscated.
Criminal proceedings were initiated against Samsonyan and Saghatelyan for reacting to statements addressed to the Speaker of the RA National Assembly, Alen Simonyan. A motion has been submitted to the court to remand them in custody.
