Illegal wild boar hunting case uncovered
According to a report released by the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), officers from the Vayk Department of the Community Police uncovered a case of illegal hunting on the evening of December 31.
In the settlement of Zaritap, they stopped a “VAZ 2121” vehicle driven by a 46-year-old man. A search of the vehicle revealed six wild boars, along with a smoothbore hunting rifle and a rifled gun.
The 46-year-old driver and the 40-year-old passenger were arrested and taken to the Vayk Department of the Community Police. The vehicle was moved to the department’s specially protected area.
The prepared documents have been forwarded to the preliminary investigation body.
