Dispute over snowballs escalates into stabbing
According to the Police, late in the evening of January 9, a report was received from the “Gyumri” Medical Center stating that a 16-year-old youth was transported to the hospital from Tigran Mets Avenue in Gyumri with puncture wounds to the thigh and chest.
Police officers from the Mush department established that around 18:30 on the same day, a dispute arose between two teenagers over throwing snowballs. Their friends, including the injured teenager, intervened in the argument.
The dispute continued behind the building, escalating into a scuffle. During the incident, a 17-year-old boy struck the 16-year-old with a folding knife he had in his possession, causing injuries.
The individual who committed the stabbing has been detained. He has confessed to the act.
