
Gor Abrahamyan has ceased his activities in the Investigative Committee
The spokesperson for the Chairman of the Investigative Committee, Gor Abrahamyan, has ceased his activities within the system. Prior to Abrahamyan’s resignation, Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan held a meeting with the heads of the ministry and its subordinate services. During the meeting, she specifically addressed the provision of citizen-centered services and stated that she expects new results.
Hours later, Abrahamyan announced on his Facebook page that he had submitted his resignation.
I am ceasing my activities at the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia. In accordance with my request, I have been relieved of my duties as the spokesperson for the Chairman of the Investigative Committee. For more than two years, I have considered it my duty to ensure effective communication between the Investigative Committee, the media, and other public segments, guided by the principles of equality, partnership, and integrity, I have strived to be the voice of the Investigative Committee while also serving as the ‘ambassador’ of the media community within the system, – he wrote.
Gor Abrahamyan assumed the position of spokesperson for the Investigative Committee in 2022. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2022, he served as an advisor to the Prosecutor General in the Prosecutor General’s Office of Armenia.
