Director of Geghakert School Arrested in Case of Violating the Ban on Charity

Anush Hambardzumyan, the director of the Geghakert school in Vagharshapat community, has been arrested. The information was confirmed by the Anti-Corruption Committee.

The Committee reported that based on data obtained as a result of operative-intelligence measures, criminal proceedings have been initiated regarding a case of violating the ban on charity.

The investigative body has submitted a motion to the court to choose detention as a preventive measure for the arrested person.

It should be recalled that on October 21, a charity event was held in one of the villages of Vagharshapat with the participation of a number of candidates from the Civil Contract (CC) party, during which various valuable gifts were distributed to residents. Among those presenting gifts was also a candidate for the CC Council of Elders.
