Armenia and the US to Sign a Strategic Partnership Document
Today in Washington, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will sign a document on strategic partnership between the Republic of Armenia and the United States of America. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The event will take place at 10:00 PM Yerevan time.
Earlier, it was announced that Ararat Mirzoyan would make a working visit to Washington on January 14-15. Meetings with US officials, including Secretary of State Antony Blinken, are planned.
During a press conference summarizing the year on January 8, Ararat Mirzoyan did not deny information regarding the upcoming agreement, stating that both sides had been engaged in a strategic dialogue and had agreed to elevate it to the level of strategic partnership.
In June 2024, during the concluding session of the Armenia-US Strategic Dialogue held in Yerevan, the parties discussed progress in strengthening bilateral relations and outlined a vision for deepening ties in the coming year. At the end of the session, the “Agreement Between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the United States of America on Mutual Assistance Between Their Customs Authorities” was signed.
