President of Armenia Meets with Ambassadors of EU Member States
During a meeting with the ambassadors of the European Union (EU) member states accredited to Armenia, President Vahagn Khachaturyan presented the country’s domestic and foreign policy priorities, as well as upcoming programs.
The meeting’s objective was to strengthen Armenia-EU relations and discuss new opportunities for cooperation. The President outlined the main achievements of the past year and addressed the progress of reforms and trends in economic development.
Khachaturyan emphasized that Armenia views the partnership with the EU as a crucial pillar for the country’s democratic and economic progress.
The ambassadors inquired about current political processes and issues of regional stability. The President noted that Armenia is committed to democratic values and is ready for deeper cooperation with EU countries toward the implementation of new initiatives and programs.
However, the official communiqué lacks specific details on whether, during the discussions on democracy, the ambassadors expressed any observations or concerns regarding recent developments involving certain clergymen of the Armenian Apostolic Church or representatives of the opposition.
This gap raises questions about the content of the discussion and the disclosure of specific concerns.
