Armenia Encourages Relaunch of Dialogue with Georgia
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Vahan Kostanyan, announced that Armenia has encouraged its United States partners to relaunch dialogue with Georgia within the framework of the process of unblocking communications in the South Caucasus.
As Kostanyan noted, the delegation led by US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Alison Hooker’s visit to Yerevan and the visit of US State Department Representative Jonathan Askonas to Tbilisi were coordinated with each other, and the American representatives located in Tbilisi during those days held discussions with Armenia.
“The possibilities of how Tbilisi can benefit from the general unblocking processes were discussed with Georgia,” Kostanyan stated.
It should be recalled that days ago, US Ambassador to Armenia Kristina Kvien welcomed US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Political Affairs Alison Hooker, who had arrived in Yerevan to discuss regional peace and security issues. According to the US State Department’s press service, Alison Hooker traveled from Armenia to Azerbaijan.
