Results of Armenia-EU relations in 2025

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs summarizes Armenia-EU cooperation throughout 2025.

It is noted that consultations on security and defense issues have been launched. Concurrently, an agreement has been signed and entered into force, establishing the framework for Armenia’s participation in EU crisis management operations.

The mandate of the European Union Mission in Armenia (EUMA) has been extended, contributing to regional security and confidence-building. Furthermore, consensus has been reached among EU member states regarding the second allocation of support to Armenia under the European Peace Facility (EPF).

In 2025, progress was also recorded within the framework of the visa liberalization dialogue, while in the area of economic cooperation, the second phase of financing for the “Resilience and Growth Plan” for Armenia is being implemented, with a volume of 202.5 million euros.

This year, Armenia was selected as the host country for the Spring 2026 Summit of the European Political Community, and the first Armenia-EU Summit is scheduled to take place in May 2026.

At the end of the year, the Strategic Agenda for Armenia-EU Partnership was adopted, and the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia passed the law “On the Launch of the Process of the Republic of Armenia’s Accession to the European Union.”
