Armenia handed a note of protest to the russian ambassador

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Armenia, Sergey Kopyrkin, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia in connection with the statements made by Russian host Vladimir Solovyov regarding Armenia’s sovereignty.

This was reported by Ani Badalyan, the spokesperson of the MFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) of the RA.

According to her, the note of protest emphasized that the statements aired during a program that is part of a state television company constitute an unacceptable encroachment against the sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia, are hostile in nature, and crudely violate the fundamental principles of friendly relations between Armenia and Russia.

Earlier, Russian host Vladimir Solovyov, whose two original programs have already been blocked in the Armenian public multiplex due to anti-Armenian content, had addressed Russian-Armenian relations. He stated that the “loss” of Armenia is as much of a problem for Russia as that of Ukraine.

In addition, Solovyov hinted at the possibility of starting a “special military operation” within Russia’s spheres of influence, disregarding international law.
