Nikol Pashinyan to join Donald Trump’s “Peace Council” initiative

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has received an official invitation from US President Donald Trump to join the “Peace Council” as a founding member.

The “Peace Council” is an initiative which, according to the American side, aims to involve leaders from different continents in the process of resolving global conflicts.

A few days ago, the US President sent a similar invitation to the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, proposing that he also join the council as a co-founder.

Earlier, Moscow reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin had also received an invitation.

Invitations to join the council have been sent to representatives of countries from various continents. Specifically: Ukraine, Poland, Great Britain, Germany, France and Italy, Israel, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain and Oman, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay. The list also includes Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, and the European Commission.

A charter signing ceremony within the framework of the initiative is scheduled to take place this Thursday in Davos, Switzerland.
