Pashinyan and Aliyev to receive the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity

RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced that he has been awarded the 2026 Zayed Award for Human Fraternity for the work carried out towards establishing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

According to the Prime Minister, the award is prestigious, and this year it has three laureates. He informed that the other laureates of the award are the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and an activist involved in women’s education in Afghanistan. Pashinyan noted that they are preparing to travel and participate in the award ceremony, adding that it is a great honor for him.

The Prime Minister emphasized that winning the award is the result of teamwork involving the government, the parliamentary majority, and especially the citizens of the Republic of Armenia. According to him, without the trust and support of the citizens, it would not have been possible to achieve these results.

As a reminder, in Yerevan, the Secretary-General of the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity, Mohamed Abdelsalam, and award committee members Charles Michel and Moussa Faki Mahamat presented the invitation to participate in the award ceremony to the RA Prime Minister. The official award ceremony is scheduled for February 4 in Abu Dhabi.
