Samvel Karapetyan elected president of the “Strong Armenia” party
Businessman Samvel Karapetyan has been elected President of the “Strong Armenia” party. This was announced via a Facebook post by Marianna Ghahramanyan, the spokesperson for the “Our Way” (Mer Dzevov) movement. During the convention, the party’s council was also unanimously elected.
The official presentation of the party will take place on February 12 at 13:00 at the Karen Demirchyan Complex, where the name of the party’s candidate for Prime Minister will also be announced.
It should be recalled that on January 19, supporters of Samvel Karapetyan registered the “Strong Armenia” party.
Regular parliamentary elections will be held in Armenia on June 7, 2026. Bids for participation have been submitted by the 2nd President of the RA Robert Kocharyan, former Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan with his “Wings of Unity” initiative, the “Our Way” movement, former Mayor of Yerevan Hayk Marutyan with his “New Power” party, as well as the ANC (Armenian National Congress) with Levon Zurabyan as their candidate for Prime Minister.
