Mirzoyan and Omani Foreign Minister held a phone conversation

On March 3, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, held a phone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi.

The interlocutors discussed the situation in the Middle East. The parties emphasized the importance of a peaceful resolution of tensions, highlighting the necessity of prioritizing diplomacy. In this context, the role of mediation and diplomatic efforts exerted by Oman was highly appreciated.

Minister Mirzoyan expressed gratitude to the authorities of Oman and the UAE for the support provided in facilitating the necessary procedures for the return of the citizens of the Republic of Armenia. He also expressed Armenia’s readiness to provide support in the process of transporting citizens of Oman, if necessary.

During the conversation, reference was also made to the steps aimed at expanding the Armenian-Omani bilateral agenda. The ministers emphasized the importance of more effective realization of the existing potential, noting that the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia to open a resident embassy of the RA in Muscat will create new opportunities for deepening cooperation.
