Number of priests joining Church reformation increases
Very Reverend Father Aristakes Ayvazyan, a member of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Father Khachatur Gevorgyan, Father Sahak Martirosyan, Father Zgon Abrahamyan, Father Shmavon Ghevondyan, and other priests have joined the initiative launched in recent days.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed the topic, stating in his message that with the blessing and active participation of the priests, the Armenian Holy Apostolic Church will be reformed. The Prime Minister called on communities, regions, and citizens to support, embolden, encourage, and protect all priests who have joined or are preparing to join the reformation process.
As a reminder, on January 5, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and ten bishops issued a joint statement presenting the church reformation program. According to the statement, it is planned to form a Coordinating Council.
