The progress of the project for installing cameras in public places has been frozen
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia has frozen the progress of the project to install cameras in public places.
According to the ministry, some concerns among various segments of the public have not yet been alleviated.
The ultimate goal of this project, according to the ministry, was to improve the public safety environment.
Currently, a phased approach to solving the issue through separate initiatives is being discussed.
The ministry plans to address the approach of providing access to state and local government monitoring systems for the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
