The number of users of bookmaker companies in Armenia has increased over the past year
The taxes of the two largest taxpayers in Armenia, “Soft Contract” and “Digitain,” have almost doubled compared to the previous year.
The two largest Armenian bookmaker companies, “Vbet” and “Toto Gaming,” are subsidiaries of “Soft Contract” and “Digitain,” respectively. Thanks to the bookmaker companies, taxes have increased compared to the period from January to September of the previous year.
In 2023, “Soft Contract” paid 8.724 billion drams in taxes over 9 months, while in the same period this year, the taxes paid amounted to 13.93 billion drams. The company has risen from 19th place to 11th place among Armenia’s largest taxpayers within a year.
The taxes increased even more for “Digitain.” In 2023, during the aforementioned period, the company paid 4.284 billion drams, while this year it paid 9.365 billion drams.
According to Semrush, in September of this year, “Vbet” was accessed 2.56 million times, around 85,000 times daily, making it one of the most visited websites in Armenia. This number has increased by about 14.3% compared to the previous month. However, not all users of online casinos and bookmaker websites access the internet site.
The data suggests that the number of people using online casinos and bookmaker companies has increased in Armenia.
