Tigran’s Sister and Brothers to Receive Professional Care at HAF
Mamikon Galoyan, Chief Specialist of the Department of Health and Social Affairs of the Gegharkunik Provincial Administration, presented new details regarding the developments surrounding the family of 3-year-old Tigran, who went missing and was later found murdered in the village of Tsapatagh. According to him, the child’s sister and brothers were transferred today to the Child Protection Center of the Armenian Humanitan Foundation (HAF). Galoyan noted that they had spoken with the mother and children beforehand.
“We decided to move the children to HAF today. We spoke with the mother, she was a little emotional. We said, ‘Let’s move them today.'”
According to Galoyan, the children reacted differently at the time of the transfer: one of them has a disability and did not react in any way. The child who was present at the scene of the tragedy continues to remain silent.
“The eldest girl was speaking; we told her to look after her brothers.”
Earlier, at the initiative of the Gegharkunik Provincial Governor’s Staff, the Guardianship and Trusteeship Body convened a session to decide on the organization of the children’s care. During the session, it was decided that the children should be removed from that environment. Following the tragedy, the children’s mother decided to leave the community and move to her paternal home.
