More than 75,000 citizens have joined the petition titled “Maximum 100 Drams”
Former Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan announced in a video that over 75,000 citizens have already joined the petition titled “Maximum 100 Drams,” opposing the increase in public transport fares.
Wearing a shirt and holding posters with the slogan “Maximum 100 Drams,” Marutyan has launched a signature campaign in the capital. He opposes setting the fare for a single ride above 100 drams. Starting January 1, with the implementation of a unified transportation system, fare changes will take effect. The system will offer options such as single-use QR-code tickets, mobile applications, and reusable bus and bank cards.
While the former mayor supports the unified transportation packages, he insists on one change to the plan: single rides must remain affordable at 100 drams.
