Market Surveillance Reveals Violations in Yerevan’s “CITY” Supermarkets

The Market Surveillance Inspectorate Body (MSIB) of Armenia carried out control measures in supermarkets belonging to “CITY” LLC. The inspection revealed that numerous products imported by the company and acquired from the local market, including tobacco products and substitutes, were being sold without proper conformity assessment documents and labeling.

Concurrently, it was found that some electronic scales were being operated without the necessary calibration. Sampling of toys was also conducted: it was revealed that the composition of “Slime” type toys named “Bear,” “Monster,” and “Unicorn” may pose a danger to children’s health.

The Inspectorate Body has decided to recall, suspend the sale of, and destroy these products.

The Inspectorate Body urges all consumers who have purchased the mentioned toys to contact the Inspectorate Body and return them, in order to prevent potential harm to children’s health.
