New-Generation Offices of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Migration and Citizenship Service to Open in Yerevan Malls

Ultra-modern offices of the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) will soon be installed in two of Yerevan’s busiest shopping centers, or malls. These offices will be equipped with “all-in-one” self-service biometric data collection devices, will include a children’s playroom, and will operate according to international service standards. Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan announced this.

According to the Minister, the initiative turns a new page from the old passport system, offering citizens faster, higher quality, and more convenient services.

Sargsyan also informed that extensive construction work is underway in the regions (marzes) of the Republic. The designs for 13 new offices submitted by the private partner HayPass have already been approved, and another 10 are in the selection phase.

The administrative building is also being modernized and will be transformed into a data center compliant with international standards. Processes for the personalization and printing of identity documents will be carried out here. The building will be completely renovated, furnished, and re-equipped, ensuring 24-hour IT monitoring.
