Families Forcibly Displaced from Artsakh Benefit from Housing Support Program

More than 300 families forcibly displaced from Artsakh have received housing purchase certificates. This was reported by Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Davit Khachatryan. Some families have already managed to buy homes, while others are still searching. In 2023, more than 100,000 people were displaced from Artsakh, approximately 25,000 families. According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, as of November 2024, only 7.5% of displaced families have applied for the state housing program. A total of 1,501 applications have been received.

The housing support program for forcibly displaced Artsakh residents was launched in June 2024. In the first phase, families with 3 or more minor children can participate. In the second phase, starting January 1, 2026, families with 2 children will be eligible, and in the third phase, beginning January 1, 2027, families with 1 child can apply. Families with members who have disabilities, have lost a provider, or are families of deceased individuals can participate at any phase without restrictions. Each family member can receive up to 5 million AMD in support. However, only families whose members have obtained Armenian citizenship are eligible for the program.
