110 of 225 Bus Driver Vacancies Filled at “Yerevan Bus” Company

During the operational meeting on January 20, the director of “Yerevan Bus” company, Beglar Kirakosyan, reported that since the last meeting, 110 out of 225 bus driver vacancies have been filled.

In his report, Kirakosyan stated that at this pace, all positions could be filled by the end of this week.

It is worth noting that during the January 13 operational meeting, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan expressed dissatisfaction with the pace of hiring new drivers at “Yerevan Bus” CJSC. The new batch of buses had arrived back in November of the previous year, but the vacancies remained unfilled.

During that meeting, the mayor mentioned that there are 50,000 individuals in Armenia with D-category driving licenses. Tigran Avinyan instructed that the recruitment of drivers be completed by the end of January.
