Trolleybus Movements to Be Monitored via Yandex Maps
During an operational meeting at Yerevan Municipality, it was announced that a new system for processing data from transport GPS devices has been implemented. This system allows monitoring the movement and routes of approximately 550 buses. GPS data for 16 previously unmonitored routes have also been integrated.
Efforts are underway to introduce and fine-tune analytical tools, which will enable the observation and management of schedules, intervals, and other parameters, – announced Sargis Manukyan, Director of Yerevan’s Management Technologies Center.
An online bus video surveillance system has also been made accessible.
Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Suren Grigoryan noted that plans are in place to include not only the “Yerevan Bus” company’s fleet in the Yandex app but also the trolleybuses operated by “Electrotransport” CJSC.
