Owners of ENA file lawsuit against Minister of Economy
The owners of “Electric Networks of Armenia” (ENA) CJSC have filed a lawsuit against Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan, demanding a retraction of defamatory statements made against them and 6 million AMD in compensation. This information is derived from the “DataLex” information system.
The application was filed on January 15 at the Civil Court of Yerevan and has been assigned to Judge Samvel Babayan. The plaintiff claims that the Minister’s statements, according to which the company is “robbing the Armenian people,” do not correspond to reality.
It should be recalled that in July 2025, the National Assembly adopted a package of laws on the nationalization of ENA. On July 18, Romanos Petrosyan was appointed as the interim head of the company. ENA has been owned by businessman Samvel Karapetyan since 2016.
