Traffic Cameras Will Record Incidents of Drivers Smoking and Using Phones
Traffic cameras will also document issues related to vehicle interiors. This was announced by Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Arpine Sargsyan.
In 2025, the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be allocated 105 billion drams from the state budget. Of this, 99.1 billion drams will go towards current expenses, and 5.9 billion drams towards capital expenditures.
A new system is planned to be implemented, where traffic cameras will record instances of drivers smoking and using phones. Drivers will also be required to have child seats.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs will carry out six programs with 22 policy measures in 2025.
