768 kg of drugs seized in Armenia in 2025

In 2025, law enforcement officers in Armenia seized 768 kg of various types of drugs, which is 80 percent more compared to 2024.

Sargsyan considered this figure a significant achievement and emphasized that they targeted and seized large shipments rather than smaller ones.

“We have developed a completely new strategy regarding illegal drug trafficking, which targets both public health and public safety. Cases of illegal drug trafficking have increased by 614, or 20.4 percent,” the Minister said.

According to her, at the same time, 243 more cases of drug distribution were detected.
