Akhalkalaki-Armenia road temporarily closed for trucks in Georgia
According to the Roads Department of Georgia, due to difficult weather conditions, certain sections of the highway leading to the Akhalkalaki-Armenia border are temporarily closed for trailer trucks. The road remains open for other types of vehicles.
At the same time, the Military Georgian Road is closed due to the risk of avalanches. According to Amnews, light snow is currently falling in the mentioned road section, but the danger level remains high. According to preliminary information, the road is unlikely to reopen today.
The Kobi-Gudauri section of the road is closed in both directions for all types of vehicles. Cleaning operations have not yet begun, as weather conditions do not permit.
