NSS issues clarification regarding the Amasia video
A few days ago, a video was circulated on the internet titled “Azerbaijanis Talking to Armenian Patrol Officers in Amasia.”
The video shows several young men speaking in Russian with an Armenian patrol officer; many had assumed they were Azerbaijanis.
The National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia clarified that the ethnic Azerbaijanis who visited Armenia are citizens of the Russian Federation. It is noted that they had previously visited the Republic of Armenia in 2013 and 2014.
The NSS also informed that the citizens entered and left Armenia through the “Bagratashen” border crossing point, and the visit was of a private nature.
