Tigran Avinyan met with the residents of Kond
Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan met with the residents of the Kond district to discuss issues related to property rights. He announced this on his Facebook page.
According to the Mayor, during the meeting, issues regarding the restoration of residents’ rights to land plots adjacent to houses, including auxiliary structures of residential significance located in courtyard areas, were discussed.
Avinyan noted that the goal of the Yerevan Municipality is to exclude possible cases of violation of property rights by the developer or the acquirer in the event of implementing a development project. According to him, the residents of Kond have faced various problems related to property rights for decades.
As presented by the Mayor, about 900 property units have been inventoried in the district, for which more than 670 applications have already been received for the restoration of rights or legalization.
It should be recalled that a competition for the reconstruction of the Kond district was announced back in 2021. On February 26, 2024, Tigran Avinyan announced that for the implementation of a new urban development project, the Kond district would undergo full-scale acquisition and alienation.
On February 28, it was also announced that after the clarification of the boundaries of their houses and the restoration of the grounds for land allocation, the residents of the district must pay 2 percent of the established cadastral value to receive a new ownership certificate. It was noted that the cadastral value, according to zoning, will amount to 139 thousand and 214 thousand AMD.
