Ronaldo and Georgina Will Marry in Madeira
Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez plan to hold their wedding in Madeira, the birthplace of the footballer. The marriage ceremony will take place in the main cathedral of Funchal city, and the reception will be held at one of the island’s most expensive hotels. The ceremony will be for family and the closest people only.
The wedding is expected to take place after the 2026 World Cup but before the start of the new Saudi Arabian season, so that Ronaldo can return to his games normally.
The couple first met in Madrid in 2016 when Georgina was working as a sales assistant in a boutique. Ronaldo has said that day “it was love at first sight,” and Georgina has recounted numerous times that their relationship formed very quickly and naturally.
Today, they are together and raising five children, and the upcoming wedding will be the official formalization of their relationship.
