
Armenia Secures Three Medals at the Youth World Boxing Championship
The Armenian team has secured at least three bronze medals at the Youth World Boxing Championship taking place in Budva.
In the 57 kg weight category, Erik Arstamyan defeated an Azerbaijani athlete with a score of 3-2. The Armenian boxer advanced to the semifinals, securing at least a bronze medal.
In the 60 kg weight category, Andranik Martirosyan also won with a score of 3-2 against an Albanian opponent. The youth world championship silver medalist progressed to the semifinals, ensuring at least a bronze medal.
Earlier, it was mentioned that Rafael Nersisyan in the 63.5 kg weight category had also secured a bronze medal by reaching the semifinals.
In the quarterfinals, Heghine Petrosyan (50 kg), Arshak Bablumyan (71 kg), Armen Petrosyan (80 kg), and Misak Tepanyan (92+ kg) were defeated.
