Our players abroad: last week, Armenian footballers playing overseas scored 5 goals

The month of November has been an effective start for Armenian footballers playing abroad. They not only featured in the starting lineup and played the full matches for their teams but also stood out by scoring goals.

Andre Kalizir played one match last week for the Swedish team Brommapojkarna. The Armenian defender spent 63 minutes on the field in the 29th round of the Swedish league against Varnamo (0:1).

Nair Tiknizyan, a defender for the Armenia national team and Lokomotiv, played in the victorious match against Rubin (1:0) in the 14th round of the Russian Premier League. Remarkably, three Armenian footballers were on the field during this game. Tiknizyan’s teammate Edgar Sevikyan participated against Rubin. The Armenian player was substituted in the 56th minute. Ugochukwu Iwu also played the entire match for Rubin.

Armenia national team captain Varazdat Haroyan participated in one match last week for the Chinese team Qingdao (1:3).

In the Polish team Pogon, midfielder Vahan Bichakhchyan scored in the match against Motor (4:2). The armenian midfielder came on as a substitute at the start of the second half and netted his goal in the 63rd minute. Despite his goal, Bichakhchyan’s team was unable to secure a victory.

Armenian midfielder Tigran Barseghyan of Slovakian team Slovan has scored another goal in the Slovak league. The midfielder helped his team secure a victory against Podbrezova (1:3).

Lukas Selarayan was named the best player of the match in the Saudi Pro League game against Al-Fateh, where his goal helped his team earn a point (1:1).

Former Armenia national team captain Henrikh Mkhitaryan, now with Inter, participated in two matches last week. The armenian footballer helped his team secure victories in both games.

Arthur Miranyan, who had been without a club for a long time, scored the winning goal in the 88th minute for Romanian team Universitatea Cluj.

Armenian midfielder Eduard Spertsyan from Krasnodar also stood out last week with a goal and an assist. The 24-year-old player provided an assist in the match against Krylia Sovetov. And scored from a free kick against Orenburg on November 3.

Armenian footballers playing abroad scored 5 goals and provided 1 assist last week. Unlike the previous week, the last seven days were quite productive.
