A New Financial Pyramid Scheme is Spreading: Ministry of Internal Affairs Warns Citizens
The Cyber Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Republic of Armenia (RA) warns that a new financial pyramid scheme called “djialgeriai” has been created. It offers citizens to invest money in the drone sector.
According to the Cyber Police, this pyramid scheme replicates the model of the “CityBike” project, which has already collapsed in Armenia. Returns on invested funds are generated not from real business activities but from the investments of individuals whom you have invited to the platform as referrals.
The Cyber Police urges citizens to refrain from investing money in such platforms and to be cautious regarding financial project proposals encountered on the internet.
Financial pyramid schemes have started growing rapidly in Armenia. The last pyramid scheme, Hellobit, collapsed a few weeks ago. People who got involved in that scheme lost large amounts of money.
