YouTube monetization opportunity in Armenia to open in late April or May
The monetization feature of the YouTube platform in Armenia will be activated in late April or early May 2026.
Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, the Minister of High-Tech Industry, announced this during a question-and-answer session between the National Assembly and the Government.
According to the Minister, partners from the U.S. Department of State have reaffirmed Google’s previous statement regarding YouTube. Consequently, it is planned that the YouTube Partner Program will be launched in Armenia, allowing local creators to monetize their content.
Hayrapetyan noted that during the first Armenia-USA Tech and Innovation Summit held in Yerevan, representatives of American technology companies also introduced new projects. According to him, the company Firebird has received permission from the White House to implement the second phase of the Artificial Intelligence Data Center project. The investment volume of the project, previously announced at 500 million dollars, could reach approximately 4 billion dollars.
The Minister also informed that partners from Shield AI have announced the expansion of cooperation with Armenia in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
According to YouTube’s previous announcement, the platform plans to provide Armenian users the opportunity to join the partner program and monetize their content starting this spring.
