Several flights at Zvartnots Airport were unable to land due to fog
On December 13, several flights were unable to land at Yerevan’s Zvartnots Airport due to unfavorable weather conditions. Flights from Athens, Vienna, and Warsaw, scheduled to land around 4-5 AM, were canceled. Additionally, several other flights experienced delays.
The primary cause was fog. The affected flights included: Athens-Yerevan A3898 (Delayed), Vienna-Yerevan OS641 (Delayed), Vienna-Yerevan W42891 (Delayed), Moscow-Yerevan SU1964 (Delayed), Warsaw-Yerevan LO729 (Canceled), Moscow-Yerevan 3F322 (Delayed), Moscow-Yerevan 5G710 (Delayed).
The Civil Aviation Authority reported that eight planes were unable to land at Zvartnots Airport due to poor visibility. The flights were redirected to Tbilisi Airport.
