“Urartu” wins and strengthens its lead at the top of the standings
In the 11th round of the Fastex Armenian Premier League, Yerevan’s “Urartu” secured a home victory over Charentsavan’s “Van.”
Dmitri Gunko’s team won with a score of 3-1. In the 17th minute of the match, Sergey Mkrtchyan opened the scoring after a pass from Artem Polyarus.
Towards the end of the first half, the visitors were reduced to 10 players as Momo Touré was sent off. Despite the red card, Vahe Gevorgyan’s team managed to equalize the score, with Izuchukwu Okonkwo scoring after a pass from Arsen Sadoyan.
In the second half, “Urartu” broke the resistance of the visitors. Ivan Ignatyev pushed his team ahead again in the 59th minute. Then, in the 87th minute, Artem Polyarus scored the third goal for “Urartu.”
After this match, “Urartu” leads the standings with 25 points, while “Van” is in fourth place with 17 points.
