Around 1.1 kg of “hashish oil” discovered
Recently, within the framework of a joint operation, employees of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) and the National Security Service (NSS) inspected an international courier shipment imported to the Republic of Armenia from the USA at the customs control zone of “Apaven Terminal” CJSC.
During the inspection, along with personal items and objects, a metal container was discovered containing a solid mass with a pungent odor, weighing approximately 1130 grams, resembling the drug type known as “hashish oil.”
The identities of both the recipient of the drugs within the territory of the Republic of Armenia and the person to whom they were to be transferred have been established. RA citizens H.M. and A.I. were arrested in different parts of Yerevan and transferred to the Smuggling Combat Department of the SRC.
They underwent a personal search and were then transferred to the Main Department of Investigation of Economic Crimes and Smuggling of the Investigative Committee, where they were detained. Searches were also conducted at the residences of the arrested individuals, resulting in the discovery of items relevant to the proceedings.
