Winter Olympic Games have commenced
The 25th Winter Olympic Games officially kicked off on February 6.
The main official ceremony was held at the famous “San Siro” stadium in Milan. Simultaneously, events were also organized in Cortina.
World-renowned artists participated in the opening ceremony, including Italian singer Andrea Bocelli and pop artist Mariah Carey.
The Armenian flag was carried during the parade by the figure skating pair, Karina Akopova and Nikita Rakhmanin.
Armenia will be represented at the games by cross-country skiers Mikayel Mikayelyan and Katya Galstyan, alpine skier Harutyun Harutyunyan, and the figure skating pair Karina Akopova and Nikita Rakhmanin.
Approximately 3,000 athletes from more than 90 countries are participating in the games in total.
The Olympic Games will continue until February 22.
