The Investigative Committee Uncovers Property Damage Worth 39.2 Billion AMD in 9 Months
During the 9 months of 2024, the Investigative Committee of Armenia uncovered property damage amounting to 39.2 billion AMD (approximately 101 million USD) across several criminal cases.
Within the scope of completed and ongoing cases, it has been possible to recover 34.4 billion AMD (about 89 million USD), of which 33.7 billion AMD (approximately 87 million USD) has been returned to the state budget, mainly related to cases of tax evasion.
For comparison, the total amount of compensation for damages (to the state, individuals, and organizations) in 2023 was 34.8 billion AMD (about 90 million USD).
