The Regulation on the Delimitation Work Between Armenia and Azerbaijan Sent to the National Assembly for Ratification
The National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Foreign Relations has approved the regulation for the delimitation work between Armenia and Azerbaijan. It has been sent to the National Assembly for ratification.
On October 22, the issue of ratifying the regulation will be discussed at the plenary session of the National Assembly.
The document was approved by 5 deputies, with 3 voting against. The content of the document became public on September 2.
The delimitation work between the two countries began in 2021 during a trilateral meeting between Pashinyan, Putin, and Aliyev.
In April 2022, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov agreed on the structure of the delimitation commission.
During a trilateral meeting in Brussels in May 2023 between Pashinyan, Michel, and Aliyev, it was decided to establish a commission to carry out the delimitation work.
