Criminal group uncovered in Lori

As a result of joint operations by the officers of the General Department of Criminal Police and the Lori Provincial Department, a criminal group has been uncovered in the Lori province that had plotted murders, armed robberies, and burglaries.

According to law enforcement authorities, the group initially interfered in the interpersonal and financial issues of various individuals, then turned to persons holding the highest status of criminal authority and participated in meetings and activities of groups representing the criminal subculture.

Charges have been brought against the members of the criminal group for preparation of murder, attempted murder, participation in a criminal organization, illegal possession of weapons and ammunition, hooliganism, robbery, theft, destruction or damage of property, and drug trafficking.

Illegal weapons, ammunition, and drugs were also discovered.

In total, public criminal prosecution has been initiated against 10 members of the criminal group, and they have been detained.
